About Us
About the Foundation
The Foundation was established in 2001. It was funded by the proceeds from the sale of the Town of Forest PUC. The initial monies, approximately $1,200,000.00, are invested and has grown to over $2.6 million and approximately $1 million of it has been given to non-profit organizations, within the former Town of Forest, in the first 17 years.
The Foundation’s purpose, as a charitable organization, is to effectively attract and manage funds, to provide leadership in identifying and funding community needs in the former Town of Forest, significant or otherwise, and to help donors fulfill their philanthropic interests.
Our Objective
The Foundation’s objective is to leave a lasting legacy for our community by investing in its people, groups and organizations and the physical assets that make our community the special place that it is.

What are we?
The Forest Community Foundation is incorporated in the Province of Ontario and registered as a charitable organization. It is governed by a Board of Directors that is made up of highly qualified local volunteers. Utilizing the skills of dedicated men and women who volunteer their expertise enables the Foundation to render highly professional services at the lowest possible cost.
The Foundation works with the following financial, legal and accounting organizations that it can draw on for additional expertise:

Ways you can help the community
There are numerous worthwhile causes in our community that would welcome financial support. You can direct your gift or endowment to support areas such as:

An open invitation is extended to registered charities serving our region to apply for Foundation grants.
